Joining Augsburg as a full member of the Clergy

Augsburg Clergy must:

Obtain the essential Credentials (see below)

Complete the application for call (colloquy process)

Have the application approved for acceptance to Augsburg
Essential Credentials
​
In order to be considered eligible to apply as Clergy “Certified for Call” (to chaplaincy or otherwise) and listed on the Augsburg List of Clergy, you must have obtained the following credentials:

Baccalaureate (undergraduate) degree from an accredited college or university.

Master of Divinity degree or its equivalent which will entail the successful completion of 3 in-resident years of graduate professional study in theology and related subjects at an accredited graduate divinity school or seminary.

Colloquy (application) documents completed and submitted to Augsburg.

Signed Augsburg Clergy Subscription documents. (Required employment paperwork)
Acceptance to the Augsburg List of Clergy denotes the Certification and Endorsement of the Augsburg Lutheran Churches and that the applicant is fully qualified to perform the functions of a pastor or chaplain.
